HISTORY

CCS is a private non-denominational school serving students from a wide range of backgrounds and beliefs. The school was founded in 1954 by a group of U.S. citizens using the Calvert Correspondence Method, and has provided forty years of uninterrupted quality educational service. The U.S. State Department Office of Overseas Schools began to support CCS in 1965 with a series of grants which, over the decades, helped the school to develop an outstanding professional staff, excellent library, and modern scientific and computer laboratories. In 1980 CCS received SACS accreditation, which guarantees high educational standards and allows the school to grant the official U.S. high school degree recognized by colleges and universities throughout the world.
